Privacy policy
You sign in to Hundo with Apple, Google or an email code, and your progress syncs to your account. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us process it, and how to change your choices.
1. Who we are
Hundo is made by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], [ADDRESS], registered with the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number [KVK NUMBER]. We are the controller of the personal data described here.
Questions about privacy: info@hundomap.com.
Hundo is an unofficial fan app. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive, and they receive no data from us.

We don't sell your personal data, we don't show ads or use ad networks, and we don't use your email address for advertising.
3. Data that stays on your device
The app keeps a copy on your phone or tablet of the markers you've found and when, your favorites, notes, map filters, recent searches, your settings (sounds, haptics, cheat platform and similar), and your answers to the permission prompts. Your sign-in tokens are kept in the device's secure storage (iOS Keychain, Android Keystore).
Settings, map filters and recent searches stay on the device and are not sent to us. The rest is synced to your account (see below). Everything on the device is removed when you delete the app, and may be included in your device's own backup (iCloud or Google), which Apple or Google controls.
4. Your account
You need an account to use Hundo. You can create one with Sign in with Apple (on iPhone and iPad), Sign in with Google, or your email address and a one-time code.
- What we receive: a sign-in ID from Apple or Google, your email address (with Apple, this can be a private relay address), and a display name if you provide one. With email sign-in, we send a code to your address. If the verified email from a new sign-in method matches the verified email of an existing account, the two are linked to that account.
- What we store: your account details, your sign-in sessions on each device, the progress you sync (found markers and when you marked them), your favorites and notes, and whether you have Hundo Pro.
- Why: to keep your progress in sync across devices and to give you Pro on every device where you sign in.
When you first sign in, the progress already on your device is merged into your account.
5. Email updates
Launch news and cheat alerts by email are a separate choice. The box is unticked when you create an account, and nothing is sent unless you tick it and then confirm through the link we email you.
You choose how often: weekly, daily, or only big news. You can stop at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email or in Me → Notifications & email. We keep a record of when you subscribed and confirmed, as proof of your consent.
Sign-in codes and messages about your account or purchases are sent regardless of this setting.
6. Ads
Hundo does not show ads and does not use any ad network or advertising ID. If that changes, we will update this policy and, where the law or the app stores require it, ask for your consent before any ads or ad tracking start.
7. Purchases
Hundo Pro is paid for in one of two ways, depending on your phone.
- iPhone and iPad: through the App Store. Apple handles the payment; we never see your card or bank details. We use RevenueCat to confirm purchases and to restore Pro. RevenueCat receives your Hundo account ID as the app user ID, the purchase receipt, product, price, currency, country and transaction dates.
- Android: through Mollie, a payment provider. You pay on Mollie's checkout page, so Mollie, not us, receives your payment details. We receive the payment status, plan, amount, and the Mollie customer and subscription references needed to renew, cancel or refund, and to confirm that Pro is active.
We keep purchase records to deliver Pro, handle refunds, and meet tax and accounting obligations.
8. Analytics and crash reports
To find bugs and learn which features are used, the app sends usage events (for example, which screen opened or that a marker was marked found) and crash reports with technical details of the device and the error. These don't include your email address or the text of your notes.
Usage analytics and crash reports are both processed by PostHog on servers in the EU, over the same connection, so the switch below covers crash reports too.
The switch Me → Privacy & ads → Share anonymous analytics is on by default. Turn it off and the app stops sending analytics and crash reports.
9. Push notifications
If you allow notifications, your device gets a push token, which we store with the alert topics you chose (such as cheat alerts, map updates and launch news). Alerts are delivered through Expo's push service, Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging. The token is linked to your account, and removed when you sign out or delete your account.
Change topics in Me → Notifications & email, or turn notifications off in your device settings.
10. Service providers
These companies process data for us under contract, or as independent controllers where they say so in their own policies:
- Google Cloud, EU region (hosting of our servers and database, and the public bucket for map and cheat content)
- policies.google.com/privacy
- RevenueCat (iPhone and iPad purchases)
- revenuecat.com/privacy
- Mollie (Android payments)

11. Transfers outside the EEA
Some providers, such as RevenueCat, Expo and Resend, process data in the United States or other countries outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, the transfer relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework for certified companies or on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. You can ask us for a copy of the safeguards.
12. How long we keep data
- Account, sign-in sessions, synced progress, favorites and notes: until you delete your account. After deletion, they're removed from our systems within 30 days, including backups.
- Email subscription: until you unsubscribe or delete your account. We keep the consent record for as long as we need to prove consent, then delete it.
- Purchase records, including Mollie payment references: 7 years, as Dutch tax law requires.
- Crash reports and analytics events: up to 90 days for crash reports and up to 12 months for analytics events.
- Push tokens: until the token stops working, you sign out, or you delete your account.
13. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of your data (in the app: Me → Privacy & ads → Download my data);
- correct data that's wrong;
- delete your data;
- send your data to you or another service in a machine-readable format;
- restrict or object to processing based on legitimate interest;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting what happened before.
Email info@hundomap.com. We reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm you own the account first. You can also complain to your local data protection authority; in the Netherlands, that's the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
14. Deleting your account
In the app: Me → Privacy & ads → Delete account. On the web: see hundomap.com/delete-account. Deleting your account cancels an active Android (Mollie) subscription. It does not cancel an App Store subscription; cancel that in your Apple account.
15. Children
Hundo is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal data, email info@hundomap.com and we'll delete it.
16. This website
hundomap.com sets no cookies and runs no analytics or ads. Its host processes your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect against abuse, and keeps these server logs for a short period. Fonts and images are served from hundomap.com itself.
17. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll also tell you in the app before they take effect.
